FIXMYSTREET IN DN21 3HQ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of DN21 3HQ:
A631 T junction with Pilham Road, 3rd April
At the T junction where Pilham Road meets Corringham Road there have been a number of accidents over the years when cars coming from Pilham overshoot the junction, cross the verge and land in the field. Although give way signs are there this continues to happen and I believe the drivers mistakenly think the road continues. Now concrete boulders have been placed in the ditch in the verge in front of the field but they cannot be seen especially in the dark and I believe are a grave danger to anyone who overshoots this junction in the future. What is needed is a black and yellow hazard warning placed on the verge facing Pilham Road to make drivers aware they are approaching a T junction and the road does not continue straight on. A car hitting those boulders at any speed will not land softly in the field, may overturn and I fear people will be injuredor even killed.

Junction of Pilham lane with A631, 5th March
The direction sign opposite Pilham lane was demolished in an accident some time ago and hasn’t been replaced. It was an important sign as it was a very visible indication of the approach to a dangerous junction in the dark or fog. For people who aren’t familiar with the junction it now appears difficult to judge it when approaching at speed which a lot of drivers do. Due to the diversion of a large amount of traffic to this route over recent weeks it has become even more hazardous. Extra signs on the approach might be useful, maybe countdown markers could be considered. Warning signs on Pilham lane of the junction to Aisby and Mill Mere where they join Pilham lane might make it safer for traffic exiting these junctions.

Pilham lane, 4th March
There are multiple potholes forming where traffic is diverting unofficially through Pilham village due to the road closure between Gainsborough and Blyton. I have seen Lorry’s using this route despite the low bridge and many very fast moving cars all day long. This is an accident waiting to happen as the road is so narrow there will be times when you are forced down the side of the roads rather than hit big vans coming the other way. The issue runs from Pilham all the way to the new bit of road just before the A 631 to Corringham. Previously filled holes are simply degenerating with the constant new levels of traffic on the road

All the pavement from Hill Rd to Middle Street, 8th September
Pavement has been reduced in width to now being unsafe to use, some areas there is only 1/2 a foot of pavement left.
Weeds have grown considerably during holidays, narrowing it even further.
Particularly worrying is the tentacle growth of a bind weed? or something similar that is a nasty trip hazard. I have already had to pick my daughter up from tripping on them in the school run. Being so close to the road this trip hazard and narrowing pavement is now dangerous.
