The road where the arrow is shown, the whole length has potholes which are invisible after rain., 18th March

Mon, 18 Mar 2024 15:45:50 +0000
53.426912 -0.800163

The road is deteriorating all the time due to the farm traffic, not unexpected since it runs to fields, but it is a council maintained road in the stretch from Walkerith Road to the farm marked North Carr Farm. Previous potholes were mended approximately two years ago and those shown, along with at least eight other potholes have developed since then. I can send extra photographs if needed.Thanks.

53.441196 -0.80683

Following pothole complaint (Council ref; 485224): The area was repaired on 06.03.24. However, the camber of the repaired area now prevents water (from light rain this morning) freely flowing to appropriate drainage. Coupled with a deep hole, that has also appeared on the opposite of the road, standing water now covers more than half of the road.

53.429259 -0.779953

A bus was driving towards me, so I pulled to the edge of the road to avoid hitting it as the road is very narrow. Whilst passing I was unable to see that the road had broken away. There was a large bang so I pulled over immediately, noticing a flat tyre. I did notice a few buses passes through after the accident which stayed in the center of the road to avoid overgrown branches from hitting the bus

I already reported this back in October 23 to flooding but no one seems to be bothered. The drain on the highway is blocked (I assume with roots) and then the slightest bit of rain cannot drain and then puddles and flows down my drive and down the side of my house with the gradient

Well, where do we start, after a very heavy rain storm and the melting of snow into the pot holes, the highway maintenance team decided to “repair” the previously advised pot holes.. by placing hand laid tarmac, into the puddles, no prep, no cleaning, no tax / bond, what a waste of money. And that is being polite as required by the advice below.

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 8th February

Thu, 08 Feb 2024 15:34:48 +0000
53.436845 -0.781419

in the middle of the road is this quite deep pot hole, no markings except a faint washed out yellow mark which is not visable when driving down the road.I was driving down carr lane to go to Gainsborough when I hit this large pot hole in the road there was a large bang, my car swerved to the left and I just missed going in to the verge, my front tyre looked to be going down near side and the back one was flat. I pumped up the front one and tried to do the back one but it would not inflate, I put on my spare and drove to my local garage Dexcl tyres in Bridge street where they looked at my car and informed me the rear was damaged and the front one going down and looked damaged as I had driven on it with low pressure. Near side front and rear tyres damaged.
