Reoccurring Potholes, 12th May
Parts of Cliff road, (between the village of Winteringham & the A1077), are riddled with potholes. I believe potholes along this route have been reported on many occasions & for many years. Whilst potholes do get 'repaired' from time to time along this route, the 'repairs' are just not good enough & consequently potholes reoccur very quickly. The road is barely wide enough for 2 cars to pass & that frequently results in vehicles being forced into these potholes. These pot holes need fixing properly & at the very least a kerb brace also needs installing (to retain the road & thus stop the potholes from occurring). Farm machinery needs to travel this route & in doing so it will unfortunately only expedite the re-occurrence of potholes unless suitable road retention (such as a kerb brace) is used!... I am hoping Fixmystreet will notify the departments responsible for both road safety & for maintenance, so that any motorists that suffer damage to their vehicles (or personal injury) following the submission of this report can refer to this report as evidence in any subsequent civil claim to prove that it is a known issue & so that inferences can be made by the courts that inadequate maintenance of the road is likely to be the underlying cause for the damage and/or injuries sustained by motorists and/or other road users.

Blocked ? Two road grates at the bottom of the hill on low burgage, 8th November

Thick mud from over flowing drains, 5th August
After the heavy rain on Friday the drains on Meggitt Lane, Winteringham over flowed and have left thick sludge and mud on the road. No path round there so impossible to avoid by walkers
