The wedding venue known as the Secret Garden located at Lancaster Road Gringley on the Hill DN10 4RL, erects illegal signs and banners on the street furniture at the busy 4 way junction of the A631/ Lancaster Road every weekend These cause a distraction for road users. The business owner Mrs P Mee puts the signs up and then never removes them additionally creating a litter problem in the area when the wind blows them down.

Speeding vehicles, 12th October

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 16:08:52 +0100
53.408201 -0.892266

Vehicles speeding on the High Street, in particular public service buses. The Street is not designed for heavy, fast moving vehicles. The issue is one of public safety and potential damage to residents' parked vehicles, and property. The issue is exacerbated when numerous visitors descend upon the village causing parking issues. My own property, a house built circa 1850, physically shakes/vibrates every time a bus speeds down the High Street. It cannot be doing any favours to my property, structurally. I have noticed bricks 'blowing' with increasing regularity and suspect the vibrations from heavy, fast moving vehicles, are partially attributable. I will be contacting the Parish Council with a view to requesting input from the Highways Department in respect of a potential 20 MPH speed limit in the village, particularly High Street.

Dumped glass beer bottles, 8th April

Mon, 08 Apr 2013 19:42:50 +0100
53.404531 -0.918926

This is a box of empty beer bottles and other drinks cans dumped out of a car into the hedge at the side of the road. In the photo it doesn't look as much as it really is but it is a hazard to pedestrians and animals and is completely offensive. The lane seems to be becoming a drive-by dump-it site. There's also a satellite dish on a metal pole dumped further up the lane towards the main road. It would be wonderful and much appreciated if this stuff could be taken away.
