Dog fouling, 3rd January
There are lots and lots of piles of dog mess on the streets around hatton. In particular Heathway, field Avenue, Bradshaw meadow. There may be other roads also but this is what I hve seen evidence of. It is not nice, my children walking through it all over their shoes, on pushchair wheels, scooter wheels. There is literally so much around at the minute, SOME dog owners just thinking it is acceptable to leave dog poo on the pavements! Absolutely disgusting!! Is there anything that can be done to persuade people to pick up their dog mess!! The pavements are horrendous at the minute with children going back to school this week it really isn’t pleasant.

Parked vehicle leaking oil onto public highway, 29th May
A vehicle with reg H171 JJH is parking along approx. 40m stretch of Brook Lane, DE65 5PW and leaking oil onto the public highway wherever it is left parked.
The image shows the current parking and oil leak with the previous patch directly behind it.
There are also couple of thumbnail shots of previous patches on the road.
These oil deposits from a motor vehicle could endanger users of the highway creating potential liability as oil spots are slippery when wet or dry.
The road was also resurfaced within the last 12 months and these deposits left unchecked could also erode and damage the asphalt surface in the longer term.

Litter left over the fence on a layby, 9th March
Layby on Woodyard Lane, Foston/Church Broughton DE65 5Bu and DE65 5DJ. My husband and I were walking on the lane at 10.30 a.m. on Monday 10th February and noticed the contents dumped. As we had been involved with a litter pick only last week, this has been dumped since then. Name of the driver was evidence on a delivery sheet.
