This pedestrian crossing is both difficult and dangerous for walkers to access the RoW FP steps off the A52. There is no protection for walkers at the open refuge in the middle of the highway. Improvements to ensure walkers' safety should be considered.

Walking from the A52 to the roundabout for the Waterside Retail units, vegetation needs cutting back. The footway is less than 1m wide for pedestrians. This is a busy road and is there an H & S issue.

Electric wire across stile on Shelston Footpath 20, 15th October
A partly coiled 1 cm thick black wire lies across the FP and in front of the stile. The wire may be live. It is at the least, an obstruction and a trip hazard. In addition, the FP on the OS Explorer 259 is on the other side of the fence ie east to the DM line ie west. There is however, the remnants of a stile at the next field south on the OS line. There way have been signage at he junction of FPs 20 & 21. I was following my OS.
