The parking on new Road is becoming a huge problem vehicles parked on both sides of the highway the traffic is travelling way too fast through the village a lot of neighbours having more than one vehicle… another neighbour has a business running from home which involves vehicles collecting and dropping off … driveways being blocked etc issue has always been bad but is now escalating and becoming dangerous

Just before 121overlane openwoodgate coming from Heage, 10th March
There have been 3 or 4 large holes in the road on Overlane, just before 121 coming from Heage, often a car is parked making me drive straight into these holes, not doing my tyres much good at all, looks like some roadworks have been done and the holes not filled in .

Leaves on footpath, 25th November
Large amount of fallen leaves are covering the footpath up to school, which after recent weather are now extremely slippy. I’ve witnessed many children slip over whilst walking down the hill as it is very steep which makes it dangerous when slippy. Pedestrians, both adults and children, are walking in the road to try and avoid the covered area. This happens every year so needs to be added to a list of annual sweep cleans to ensure the safety of our children and to stop parents being deterred to walk their children to school rather than drive.

Caravan left on junction, 5th November
Caravan parked illegally on a junction near Howitt School.....near accident when I came home as cars have to approach on wrong side of road, also its a caravan with no tax or insurance this as no rights to be parked on a road surely ? if everyone did this it would be absolutely scandalous

Water running constantly, 14th August
This leak has been outside my house on the road for at least 5 or more years, this photo was taken last week during the heatwave/ water shortage. It has been reported to Severn trent on numerous occasions and operatives have been and had a look but nothing has ever been done about it

Car parking blocking vehicle access to property, 15th April
The car pictured is a regular visitor to number 6 Laund Close, and parks on the pavement outside number 12 in such a way as to block vehicle access to number 8. We have repeatedly and politely asked the driver of said car not to park there as it blocks our access, but their attitude is that they can park wherever they like for however long they like - usually for around three hours. They have even accused us of being "arrogant newcomers who think we have the right to tell everyone else where they can and cannot park" - However, the friends that they are visiting have only been in the area for five years, whereas our family have been in our property for over sixty years, so it is their friends who are quite clearly the newcomers.
This situation has been going on for several years now (the attached pictures date from 15/4/22 and 22/5/21, but it has been going on for much longer than this). It makes things very difficult for us - We need easy access as we have a person in the house who needs a wheelchair and relies on the car for getting out and about.
Over the past few years, parking all around the triangular grass island has become an issue, particularly on the single-track sections on the north and east sides. Something needs to be done about it urgently as it is making things a misery for those of us who live in the north-east corner - especially those at numbers 8 and 10.

Large drop lower side of manhole cover, 26th March
This has been getting progressively worse, now pushchairs and wheelchairs are unable to negotiate it. It's also hard to see meaning I've tripped more than once and I know it's there. It is on the footpath just down from the car parking / garage area to the side of 12 hunter road.

Lage pothole hidden by puddle, 4th March
Can't give an exact location, as hit it while driving, but there is a large and deep pothole on the corner between Ridgeway Lane and Slack Lane. In wet weather, it fills with water, making it look like a puddle and giving no clue as to its size or depth. Hitting it while driving produced a significant impact, and it would be a real danger to cyclists, probably causing an accident.
