Used needles, human excrement, rubbish, 4th May
In the bushes where children play I found hyper-dermic needles, alcohol bottles and human sh1t in what looks to be a place for drug taking and street drinking. This needs sorting before child endangerment leads to loss of life!

Very Uneven Surface, 1st May
All junctions of the roundabout above the A38 at Alfreton are experiencing massive problems with potholes and a disintegrating surface. It is now a matter of time before an accident occurs either to someone being unable to stop on the uneven or loose surface.

Exit slip road poorly lit, 30th April
A couple of years ago Watchorn roundabout had three of the four slip roads for the A38 upgraded with good LED lighting and improved reflective studs. However when travelling south on the A38 the off sliproad onto Watchorn roundabout never had the new lights fitted and it remains poorly lit, which is a hazard as it's difficult to see the sliproad clearly. I can only presume that whover was in charge of the upgrade thought not to light it because of the nearby hotel or they ran out of money? Can this sliproad have new lighting and also have the reflective studs replaced as a lot don't work now. Thanks

Dirty signs, 30th April
On the southbound carriageway as you approach Watchorn roundabout, most of the signs are that dirty that they are no longer reflective and unreadable. They urgently need cleaning and have been like it for months, maybe years.

Faded road markings, 11th June
On the A38 slip road at the Alfreton Watchorn exit, the road markings have faded. Drivers are making inconsistent lane choices to turn left into Alfreton .Many drivers choose the left lane as they are turning left off the roundabout. However, many drivers use the right lane to turn left - this is because soon after turning left there is another junction with two lanes: a choice of turn left or straight on. Better road markings and signage would help to prevent an accident waiting to happen. I use this junction most days and frequently see inconsistent lane choices. If a driver in the left lane were to go straight on (usually OK at roundabouts) at the same time as a driver in the right lane turned left (because they are going straight on at the next junction) there would be a collision.
