We have received several reports of trees that have fallen across public footpath SDD154 in Farningham. Land registry show National highways to be the owners of the land under ref K937667. can you please make arrangements to have the trees cleared from the path leading from the underpass down to the river.

Overgrown trees / verge hedge, 5th May
This was reported 2 years back and still no-one has done the works. the hedge along this stretch from the Castle Farm farm entrance to junction before bus stop at Castle Road the vegetation is now forcing cyclcist and horse riders nearer the centre of the road. Pedestrians are often seen walking in the road as cannot walk along th everge due to this. Only a matter of time before someone is killed

Stump causing width restrcition, 5th May
A number of smashed wing mirriors prove this stump/tree top is causing a width restriction withing the legal clearance height. No one has yet to attend to it.

Tree has fallen on bank and is about to fall on the road., 9th April
A tree log is about to fall on the road, on the side travelling from Farningham to Eynsford. If it falls just a couple more inches, then it will be very dangerous for cyclists.

Bushes over grown into road causing problems parking, 9th March
These bushes were planted at the boundary of someone’s front garden that is on a main road. Other residents have to park outside along the road next to these bushes but they have started to overhand into the road meaning cars have to either park further into the road (causing more of a hazard for other road users and themselves) or right up in the bushes. It is causing disputes between the owner of the property and neighbouring residents. It is increasingly becoming an issue the more the trees are overhanging into the public main road.
