Drain Partially blocked by stones, 13th October
Drain cover is partially blocked by stones. We get a lot of rain water run off and all drains need to be clear of debris and even then we still get flash flooding to properties further down the hill, so if this can be cleared before the winter storms it will help mitigate the potential flooding problems for properties down the hill.

Road surface failing causing water damage to Urlay Nook, Askrigg DL8 3HJ, 23rd February
There are multiple patches all on top of each other most are failing and causing water to gather. The traffic then splashes the water on to Urlay Nook and causes the damp to penetrate through the wall and also causes excessive corrosion damage to the front door handle. This has been reported several times before and never had a satisfactory solution. The whole area needs to be planed and a new surface put down so that the water can drain away properly and not cause on going problems to Urlay Nook
