Historical and continual road flooding and mud slurry from adjoining agricultural fields., 2nd March
Poor drainage maintenance from agricultural usage has resulted in continual road flooding. Permanent water and heavy amounts of mud are continually on road. Over time, this will have detrimental results on the road condition, (tarmac will begin to weaken). This is a long-standing problem that should have been maintained by the farmer by servicing the grass verge gutters and land drainage.

Large pot hole very close to our house, 7th March
Large pot hole which is getting worse by the day made worse by heavy traffic associated with nearby new housing development. Heavy vehicle traffic passing over pot hole causes our house to vibrate causing us to worry about its structural integrity. Please note this pot hole has been filled in several times but quickly reappears. We suspect a broken pipe beneath causing road to collapse. Needs repair and investigation as to why this keeps re-occuring please.

Leaving horse boxes in difficult positions for other traffic, regularly., 28th May
Over the past few months we have noticed a number of different, and some repeating, vehicles - often horse boxes, occassionally just cars/vans parking up for hours and leaving little/insufficient room for traffic to pass through. Large, trailered and agricultural vehicles are a feature along this stretch of road, with farmland towards the end of the lane. The corner of Black Horse Lane and Back Lane is the regular issue and are now stretching further along the lesser used section of road towards the A172.

Potholes and water damage, 4th February
The road leading down hill from the bottom of Scarth Nick ('S' bend), to Scarth Nick Farm is in a very poor state of repair. There are numerous deep potholes and erosion of road margins and road surface. This is mainly caused due to poor water drainage which runs down the road surface from the higher ground. Culverts/drains are required to rectify the problem proper.
