State of the Holwick Road, 19th November
There are many bad potholes and deteriorated road surfaces on this road. Apart from damage to vehicles, there are other safety implications:
Some of the potholes/bad surfaces are adjacent to blind corners/brows and drivers tend to drive round the pothole, placing themselves on the wrong side of the road. I, and other residents have narrowly avoided collisions due to this. In addition, there are several places where the road floods due to blocked/insufficient drainage and this will freeze in winter, rendering the road highly dangerous. At least 2 bad accidents over the last few years have been caused by this.
