Flooded Road on slip road off A66, 21st April
The road keeps flooding on the slip road to our house just off the A66. Where there is a dip in the road it is nearly impossible to get through with the car. We are worried if we are unable to get out when it floods incase of an emergency. It has been getting worse lately with all the rain and has caused problems with our car. It has been flooding for a while but it is getting worse and takes longer clear up.

Flooding on road just off A66, 9th April
The access road off the A66 has flooded more often than not with the bad weather over the last year. We are now struggling to get onto the A66 from our house when it rains. At the moment it doesn't take much for the road to flood. We have measured the depth at least 400mm deep. It is now getting to the point where some days we can't get through, it is becoming a safety issue as we have a 2 year old son and if there was an emergency we wouldn't be able to get out. It is also risking the running of our car.

Dangerous right turn off A66 towards Hutton Magna., 23rd June
Turning right off the A66 Towards Hutton Magna is very dangerous because the grass on the central island is so long you can't see the oncoming traffic in the fast lane.

Junction at Smallways West Bound turn to Hutton Magna completly obscured turning due to excess overgrowth, 22nd June
AS USUAL !!!. Here we go again. This is on ongoing issue that Highways are happy to ignore. If you are turning right to Hutton Magna, unless you are in a tractor, Truck or 4x4 you CANNOT see any traffic travelling east. This is already a dangerous junction with limited visibility as the east bound carriageway drops away. This is now compounded by excessive grass growth which means you CANNOT see the east bound traffic unless you creep forward and put the front of your car into the outside lane with traffic travelling at 70mph+. That really makes sense !!. This situation is repeatedly reported to Highways with little or no action. This needs attention NOW before there is a fatal accident. This CANNOT wait until it falls within a program of maintainance ( if indeed one exists). This has been reported repeatedly over the past years with no solution applied by Highways. Are we to wait until a fatality occurs before sensible action is taken. IT NEEDS TO BE HARDSCAPED. In the interim the grass needs to be cut NOW !!!!!!!!!

Grass too high to see over A66 crossing, 12th June
Crossing the A66 is bad enough and every year the grass is left to get so high i had to pull onto the road to see what was coming. This needs doing more often to prevent and accident. it has been getting worse for weeks as it will grass keeps growing.

Tall grass still there, 10th June
I made contact at the start of this week and it still has not been done, the edge was done at some point but it isn't good enough to see without having to actually get onto the road to cross. it has been like this for at least a month now, on my last report it was advised it will be done when the weather allows. the weather has been fine all week enough to have come to cut it. this road is so dangerous and people get killed all the time on it, not cutting the grass is just another thing making it more dangerous.

Tall grass in the central reservation, 7th June
It is getting very dangerous to try and cross over the A66 due to the length of grass, i have to sit on the main road to even try to see what is coming. this road as we all know is bad enough without being able to see sue to the grass not getting cut, this is an issue every year.
