FIXMYSTREET IN CR0 7EG
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CR0 7EG:
Numerous overflowing refuse bins blocking public green space access, 3rd May
These bins have been here for at least a week now. They are outside the boundary of the property from where they came and have been left blocking access to public green spaces. If they have been left there with permission or by arrangement with council for refuse collection - why ? If a collection has been missed then this should be done as a priority. It stinks, is perfect for attracting vermin, is spreading refuse over green spaces and blocking access from lane to parkland

Vehicular damage to edge of green and road, 3rd May
The green, curbing and road has been damaged by vehicles for a number of years. Despite notifying the council on several occasions this past year, no reliable solution has been put in place. In Nov 23 the council filled the edge of the green with soil which was churned out by the dust lorry the very next day. The green is a mess and road is covered with compacted mud and stones which can ping up and hit a car or person as they drive through. On several occasions a dust lorry or similar has become stuck for several hours and needed to be towed out.

Broken drain cover., 23rd April
The drain cover is missing and broken in half. At this point, the opening is large enough to accommodate an entire foot. Additionally, almost an entire automobile tyre falls through it. Vehicles, including mine, frequently pass this drain when parking. I want to prevent an instance where a car wheel falls into a drain and damages the vehicle.

Damaged/noisy manhole cover in middle of busy road, 5th April
This manhole cover is damaged and makes an incredibly loud clanging noise when anyone drives over it (which is pretty much constantly day and night). This has been the case for several weeks now and as it is in a residential area is very disturbing to residents (and their sleep patterns!!)

No pedestrian sign posts., 4th April
There is not adequate sign posting at East Croydon, where they are carrying out engineering works. I have had to walk in the road towards oncoming traffic, around number 1 Addiscombe Road (what used to referred to as the wedding cake) there should be adequate pedestrian signs of which there are none. Ive seen other people walking in the main road there it is unacceptable, it's very dangerous. Plus the lights as you cross over from alighting from the bus seem to be on red. Please could you advise as to why the same spot namely East Croydon station is having engineering works yet again in under a month since the last engineering works? What a waste of tax payers money.

Parking outside marked bays, 2nd April
There are workmen working on the tram lines who are parking outside of marked bays, this is causing traffic to pile up and drive very dangerously down Havelock Road. This alongside the Ramadan celebrations at the Ishmali Center this month is causing chaos on Elgin, Havelock and Outram Roads. This will likely continue for the next month every evening. We’ve already seen a car hit a motorbike.

Polluted/algae water seepage, 2nd April
Water seepage has been constant from this area for over 2 years. The overflow from whatever is behind the gates is green with algae/slime making it too slippery to walk on the pavement. All residents have to cross the road or walk on the road to avoid slipping. My son slipped and fell on it today. It never dries out and is constantly seeping out so freezes in cold weather and slippery the rest of the year.
