Report on FixMyStreet
2 potholes on either side of road, 1 has been repaired several times and has opened up yet again. Another bit hole is now causing a problem on the other side. On the corner by Westage Lane., 10th April
The pothole that has been repaired numerous times is back again. Could it be a collapsed drain or sinkhole tjat is causing it? Are more investigations needed? Either way, it is mahoosive again and dangerous as it is filled with water after heavy rain and is not visible to unsuspecting road users.
The second pothole that needs fixing is on the other side of the road as you turn onto Budworth Road from Westage Lane. Its big and deep and also full of water so cannot be seen.
This is a popular cycling and equestrian route. Vulnerable road users are at risk. Please, please fix these urgently.

Roadside collapse on Dark Lane going towards Hield Lane, 28th February
Due to continuous running water along the roadside throughout the year stemming from poorly drained farm land and natural springs, the carriage way is beginning to collapse. This issue is now all year round, and action needs to be urgently taken by both council and local land owners. Suitable drainage of land needs to be enforced, and a roadside drain needs to be installed to capture water run off. When cars pass one another, and in particular when passing large tractors and lorry’s, you are forced off the road and into these trenches causing a risk of damage to both tyre and alloy wheel. Note, the roadside has now completely collapsed and created what can only be described as a small waterfall; this sink hole has caused damage to my vehicle, a claim for the damage which will be issued to the council in due course.

Boundary of hield lane/dark lane, 14th February
Due to extent of flooding that you are aware of in this location, when flooded vehicles hit the water and spread water & debris to on part of the road. The mound of soil & debris as caused vehicles over turn, today the road was closed off and the drains were cleaned. This mound of earth on the road is causing a problem and requires moving, when the next next flood that will appear this mound of earth will just get larger and take up more of the road and will not act as a ramp to over turn vehicles. I would ask you please to clean the road way before any further damage is caused to vehicles. I was aware you were looking at the drainage and hopefully you may have clear the road way of this buildup of soil & debris.

Bottom of the dip on Hield Lane, 25th November
The road has been extensively flooded for weeks. The flood is deep, extends across the entire road for several metres, and the road condition is extremely poor and dangerous either side of the flood. Large, deep gullies have developed down the sides of the road, making it very dangerous to pass vejicles coming the other way. This road needs closing until it is fixed before someone is hurt or a car is wrecked. Please do something.

Grid location bottom of culdesac hield grove, 7th November
I reported this grid sometime ago and got no repair attention but got cleaned. The frame of the whole grid completely broken and road surface falling in. I did manage to obtain some asphalt to plug the hole until the grid would get replaced and road surface fixed around the new grid. Heavy rain and the drain overflows requires draining again. the water gets so bad it over flows the drives and fills the gardens. The house drains helps the water to drain. In the picture you can see the drain needs renewing and cleaning to help prevevent the overflow of water. in the picture you can see a triangle shape forming where the water is making the ground sink in my drive. when we have these down pours we cannot exit or enter our property due to the flooding and takes around 5 to 6hrs to drain away. The public footpath on inspection you will see the surface is breaking away and soon will need re-asphalting. I am asking you please repair this grid and have it cleaned out please, I do not wish this problem to escalate further where the water shall enter the house if nothing gets treated. It is a problem that requires your attention before further damage is caused.

Hield Lane opposite the entrance to Hield House Barns, 26th July
A very large pothole approximately 1 metre long by 40cm wide and 15 cm deep had been there since at least last year. You will see from one photo there is a bend just before it and if a vehicle comes the other way you are forced into the pothole. This happened to me and my tyre exploded with a large hole in it.
Please fix as soon as you are able. Thanks
How do I go about claiming the £344 it cost to replace the tyre please? Many thanks
