FIXMYSTREET IN CW2 5QR
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CW2 5QR:
At crossing outside the White Lion Pub, 30th April
This has been here for several months and returns almost annually, it’s so severe it vibrates my kitchen when vehicles pass over it. There needs to be a long term resolution for this problem as the annual repairs that currently get done are insufficient and surely not cost affective.

Crewe direction just before junction giving access to service roadroad, 30th April
Utilities (manhole) cover sunk and also sloping down to the left quite considerably indicating a problem with the cover housing. Cover itself looks undamaged. Quote a deep and sharp drop for a car. Here is a GSV view of August 2023, when the cover is OK. https://maps.app.goo.gl/bLgr2EiJA8yMH7Cd9

On the LH side of Chorlton Lane (approaching from Newcastle Road end), opposite the old HS2/Cadent site., 21st April
This very large tree was up-rooted in storms early last year, was pushed off the road and key branches removed to ensure access for residents. However since then, no further action has been taken. Residents believe there has been some further movement as a result of more recent storms (Autumn / Spring 2023/24) with further break-off of dead material (that residents have moved off the road) but also concerns regarding rising branches that may impact on overhead wires. (See photo). Please may I ask that the stability of the tree is assessed (especially as it further deteriorates)? Thank you.

The first three passing places on Chorlton Lane on the left, (as you enter from the North; Newcastle Road end), 21st April
The three passing places are 1) as you enter Chorlton Lane (before the Chapel), 2) the passing place by the PROW entrance into Wychwood Park just past the Chapel 3) the passing place in front of the huge fallen tree.
These passing places are heavily used and in recent weather have developed deep and extensive potholes (difficult to capture in photos) but difficult for ordinary vehicles to get out of if required to move out of the way of on-coming traffic. Please can these be investigated and in-filled? Thank you.

Back Lane, Basford, Shavington, 18th April
Drove through get petrol on the way to the gym, pothole was covered in water on both sides of the road leaving me no place to go. Did not get far as I felt the tyre go down as soon as it made contact, had to change the tyre in a safe place not too far from the pothole location. Unsure how long the pothole has been there but a pedestrian said this is the 3rd car that day to have the same issue (17th Wednesday 2024)
