On the LH side of Chorlton Lane (approaching from Newcastle Road end), opposite the old HS2/Cadent site., 21st April
This very large tree was up-rooted in storms early last year, was pushed off the road and key branches removed to ensure access for residents. However since then, no further action has been taken. Residents believe there has been some further movement as a result of more recent storms (Autumn / Spring 2023/24) with further break-off of dead material (that residents have moved off the road) but also concerns regarding rising branches that may impact on overhead wires. (See photo). Please may I ask that the stability of the tree is assessed (especially as it further deteriorates)? Thank you.

The first three passing places on Chorlton Lane on the left, (as you enter from the North; Newcastle Road end), 21st April
The three passing places are 1) as you enter Chorlton Lane (before the Chapel), 2) the passing place by the PROW entrance into Wychwood Park just past the Chapel 3) the passing place in front of the huge fallen tree.
These passing places are heavily used and in recent weather have developed deep and extensive potholes (difficult to capture in photos) but difficult for ordinary vehicles to get out of if required to move out of the way of on-coming traffic. Please can these be investigated and in-filled? Thank you.

On the bend, from the entrance to the PROW into Wychwood Park to the junction with Chorlton Lane Ends and Waybutt Lane., 21st April
This section of verge and hedgerow is noticeable as it is the only section that has clearly not been maintained. It is very overgrown with what are now trees and other overgrown shrubs and foliage. The impacts are several: 1) The weight of the overgrowth is impacting on the boundary fences of properties on Henley Road (within Wychwood Park). The fences are being forced inwards and will soon snap. Residents are shoring up the worst sections with bracing poles. 2) This section of verge, I believe belongs to the Council as it is clearly a service strip which accommodates 3 telegraph poles (see photo) 3) When approaching the bend (especially from the Waybutt / Chorlton Lane Ends direction), visibility around the bend is increasingly constrained. Whilst we are now in bird-nesting season, I appreciate hedges should not ordinarily be cut back, but in these circumstances, please may I ask that this stretch of verge is investigated and cut back before residents’ boundary fences are compromised or visibility splays around the bend further impaired? Thank you.
