The road has flooded again on the bend in Devitts Green Lane. The reason for this is that the gulleys / drains have silted up after excessive rainfall has cascaded down the lane. Image no 3 shows gulley 2 months ago before local resident cleared it with a shovel !

Blocked Drains, 20th March
Blocked drains are causing significant standing water water which is a hazard to pedestrians and the newly laid tarmac footpath is now dangerously slippery at the side of the road due to algae forming. Pedestrians get soaked when a car passes and drives through the standing water. I was advised couple of weeks ago that this was in hand and being sorted. Still like it!!

The gulleys / drains are defective in this part of Devitts Green Lane. The substantial recent rainfall is creating a trench in many places kerbside. Many drains are blocked and the image shows that the tarmac does not send the water into the drain, just further down the road.

Tree arisings left, 29th February
Tree fell across the road and the contractors cleared the road and thought it would be clever to carve a seat out of the stump instead of completing the job to a good standard. I’m an arb officer for a large local authority and leaving a mess like this is totally unacceptable and a client officer should be ensuring they return to clear!

Two potholes side by side, 21st February
These potholes have been repaired a number of times now but unfortunately either through a 'quick' repair or whatever, they have disintegrated again. This is a well used lane by vehicles to get from Old Arley to New Arley, this lane is becoming impassable with all the potholes that are appearing, mainly caused by running water.
