The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CV23 8EN:
Many potholes, very large all over the lane, can not be avoided., 16th March
These potholes have been here for ever and are now so bad they need sorting out properly, this does not mean put a bit of ready to use tarmac in them. Both access lanes into Draycote Village need relaying and sorting out as potholes are everywhere and getting worse. Vehicles need to stopped mounting verges to pass & use the passing areas but the passing areas are full of mud and potholes too. They need concreting properly! It’s a mess!

Wheel grabbing gouge, 20th December
Coming from Marston into Birdingbury, as one crests the hill, the road curves slightly to the right. On the left side of the road, there are some nasty gouges in the edge of the tarmack - approx wheel width x car length x some inches deep. Especially in the dark, these gouges are not visible until the last moment. If a vehicle caught them, there would be significant structural damage to the vehicle. Please inspect and make safe. Thank you.

Failing street light, 3rd October
The light bulb is fading and will be dead within the next few hours. When it does go off it will be pitch dark out there as another light further down the street has been broken a long time and not fixed. Due to the recent spate of criminal activity in the surrounding local areas it leaves property very vulnerable

Water running off highway onto private land, 25th January
When it rains, water runs off highway and cuts gully into our driveway and down the track. We are constantly having to resurface it. It needs a proper look at and fix (not just digging a little trench that fills in after a couple of hours)

Thick layer of very slippery mud along the majority of the Long Itchington Road between Birdingbury and the A423. Anyone leaving Birdingbury travelling at even a modest speed will hit a thick and slippy layer of mud just after the hill out of Birdingbury. This could be fatal.

Concrete bollards blocking access along the disused railway line, also concrete bollards blocking access on to the line from Birdingbury road., 14th October
Concrete bollards blocking access along the disused railway line, also concrete bollards blocking access on to the line from Birdingbury road. These prevent access for disabled uses & cyclists. To my knowledge this is not private land & there is some concern that this will impede the installation of a planned cycle path.

This has been an issue for 8 years. Spoke to the operatives of the gulley machine a couple of years ago, they said it was a waste of time as the pipes were broken and needed replacing. Such a hazard taking up most of the road and a frozen pool in the winter.

Drain blocked, causing flooding of nearby houses, 17th August
The water flowing down hill along Main St does not go down the drain as it is blocked. This is the drain outside of the Club (Birbury) on Main St, just before the junction with Back Lane. It then flows down hill, along back lane where the volume is too much for the two drains to cope with and susequently gathers around Hereford House.
