Restricted view causing safety issues and No where to park vehicles with children with mobility and neurological disabilities, 3rd October
Due to having no driveway, I have two young children - one with mobility issues (hyper mobility) and the other with neurological issues (landeau kleffner syndrome) which means she can not hear the oncoming traffic etc, so it’s a risk everytime they both have to step out of the car into the middle of the road. There are cars all the way up the street - Sudbury Road - neighbours aren’t always considerate and will park outside which means many cars have to park on the white lines, due to no more spaces anywhere. Due to additional cars now being parked up the road, leaving the road becoming a single traffic road rather than 2 way. Danger to pedestrians crossing the road as very restricted view onto road, without walking out into the road to see, as well as increasing the risk for those oncoming in vehicles either way. Cars often try to beat each other coming either way. This could be solved with a driveway or even a dropped curb which will take 3 cars off the road and decrease the risk and help keep the children and other pedestrians those walking and those in vehicles.

Road has subsided from porr repair, 11th November
We recently moved in to Forge House, as Grade 2 listed property.
The repair in the road has failed and now every time a vehicle goes over the defect it make the house shake (many new cracks in the house noted already!) With some vehicles, buses, lorries etc creating excess noise like a firework going off as they go over it.
This is directly outside the Nayland Fire Station and needs to be addressed ASAP before it gets worse.

Fen Street is a narrow street in Nayland. We were incensed to wake up one morning to witness the arrival of three large vehicles and a team of operatives which blocked vehicular access to and from our property for a considerable period of time. They stayed for a matter of days I recall. We were cross because their arrival was totally unheralded either by the Highways Department or by Councillor James Finch who is a Fen Street neighbour and we thought a friend. They investigated and left, leaving behind outside our house (43 Fen Street) a sand bag, a plastic road barrier and a sign saying 'Temporary 15 minute delay'. Everything else was removed. This kit has now been there for a matter of weeks. We assume it's no longer needed and has been forgotten and we'd like it removed, please. Can you please let me know when it will be taken away?, 6th July

Potholes, 8th December
Potholes all along road (B1068) from local garage/petrol station up to Blundens Corner, each one getting bigger day by day on an ongoing basis. Traffic using middle of the road to avoid potholes - potentially endangering lives. Also dangerous to walk along at night with the speed of the traffic and unevenness of the road surface itself causing pedestrians to trip.
