FIXMYSTREET IN CO4 5PN
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CO4 5PN:
Several large potholes along the stretch of road, very poor road condition and water logged regularly., 6th March
These pot holes have been continuous and a proper repair is needed please. This has caused tyre damage to our company vehicles and residents are not happy with the state of the road surface. 3 tyres and an alloy have been damaged which we have paid for but it is now unacceptable. This issue has been present for years, the pot holes will be filled on occasions but this doesn't last long as this is a farmer's track and residential road too so it is heavily used.

Drains through the whole of Langham are blocked, 16th February
Almost every single drain through Langham is blocked and full with dirt. When it rains it causes severe flooding, flooding which is flowing through to my property. Several times I've had to use water pumps to stop it breaching the house.
Anglian water have just lifted the lids and seen that its full and backed up with water as seen in the pictures. We are already experiencing severe sewage problems and because water cannot be taken away through the drainage on the roads this is adding to it.
Please send someone immediately to address this. This is effecting the village through out, but most especially on Moor Road, School Road and Chapel Road

Highways signage paraphernalai, 8th December
I have previously reported this and it appears only one item has been collected. Large metal frames and several signs lay out of use and littering our village. 100 m towards our village along this same road and on the grass verge lay 2 more unused mobile signs and 2/3 sandbags. Please remove these. thank you

Hedge protruding onto road, 8th December
As you come down off the A12 travelling towards Stratford St Mary one is thrown into middle of carriageway to avoid overgrown hedge. This has the ability to cause an accident particularly at nighttime and a driver is unaware of the area. It's along the left side and approx 50 m stretch.

Many potholes, 27th November
Very Dangerous Potholes
Reported before - no repairs of any kind. Not even a ring of paint!
Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 06:39, Monday 28 August 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4932657.
First, this dangerous set of potholes has been reported before. If anything has been done about it then it ranks as a very poor job.
I have repeatedly experienced drivers hastily trying to avoid what is in essence a section of the road which has nothing but potholes. Drivers attempt to cross onto the other lane, in itself a slip road coming off the A12 on a blind corner.
These potholes are so bad one has to slow down to 10-15 mph (on a 50mph road) to avoid losing control and/or damaging tyres & wheels.
This section can no longer be classified as a road - it is a set of interconnected potholes.

Bridge damgaed, 14th October
A12 Northbound. Birchwood Road overbridge, structure number 855.
The bridge has clearly been struck/damaged as the concrete has broken away and looks like rebar exposed. There wasn't any debris on the road so it clearly hadn't just happened and no doubt National Highways is aware, but better to be sure.

Road rippling, 1st September
The road surface at jucntion of Wick Road and Birchwood is VERY uneven due to rippling. This is a dabger for cyclists (we have many large groups regularly cycle in the area). The worst part of this is on Birchwood Road around 2-5 metres from junction. Large vehicles especilally those with trailers and large tractors with trailers make a lot of noise when turning the corner and going down Birch wood Road away from the junction. The road needs to be repaired at the junction. Many thanks

Road diversion signs, 1st September
I live at Sherwood Cottage on junction of Wick Road and Birchwood. There have been road diversions with signage. The diversion signs have been removed (aroudn 2 weeks ago) however the support "A" frames with sandbags are still in situ. These are approximately 8-9 feet tall. One is positioned very close to my property on the corner, the other on grass verge alongside my house both I believe on my property. I am trying to market/sell my house so as the diversion signs have been removed can the support frames also be taken away? Many thanks
