Intersection improvement?, 15th March
Could anything be done to improve this intersection? Maybe a mini roundabout or traffic light? At peak times both Lexden Road and Glen Avenue can have heavy traffic, making it very hard for people on Glen Avenue to join Lexden Road, especially if they are making a right turn.

Speeding vehicles coming around the blind bend, 15th March
Drivers come around this blind bend way too fast. Many are speeding, but even those going at the 30mph speed limit are travelling way too fast for the road conditions, especially if school children are trying to cross the road. Can we please have a lower speed limit here? And could there be some consideration about how to get 2 pavements on this road (even if it means restricting motor traffic to one way)?

Terrible pedestrian infrastructure, 15th March
Can anything be done about the poor pedestrian infrastructure on this road. Near the lamppost, the only pavement (the other side of the road doesn’t have one at all) is extremely narrow. Far too narrow for a wheelchair or larger pram. If you come across an oncoming pedestrian, one person has to walk in the road. Glen Avenue has become a real rat run so there is a high volume of cars you then have to dodge as well. In a perfect world, I’d make this section of the road (between Acland Avenue and Lexden Rd) one way for cars with a contra flow cycle lane and pavements on each side wide enough for a wheelchair. The section between Acland Avenue and Elianore Road is probably already wide enough to fit a second pavement with a bit of re-arranging of road space. A 20mph speed limit on Glen Avenue would also be greatly appreciated.

Large pothole in area which was repaired for installation of infrastructure to staine park. Due to its location, it is unable to be avoided and is constantly being eroded away by cars, buses and lorries. This is a main busy road.

The Complete Wheatfield Road in Stanway needs to be address. There is a large numbers of Potholes as well as the centre., 10th March
Wheatfield Road in Stanway needs attention immediately as it's not been looked at for about 5 years. I've lived in Wheatfield Road Stanway for nearly 10 years and it's getting worse. From one end to the other. Also it needs a public bin next to the bus stop at Rogation close.. there's only 1 bin in Wheatfield Road Stanway opposite Oat field close. This really does need addressing please.

Large combined pot hole, 24th February
This has been a pothole for over 16 months, which has developed into a large pitted road surface. there are several smaller pot holes in the same areas as a result.

Zebra crossing maintenance, 31st January
Please can you attend to carry out some maintenance on this zebra crossing. The white paint is nearly all scratched off the poles, severely reducing its visibility. The next two crossings further up the road appear to have had a reflective vinyl wrap applied to them, but this one, which is nearest the primary school has not. The beacon covers at the top of the poles are filthy and covered in moss and have not been cleaned for at least 3 years. The one nearest Hargood Close only blinks on for the briefest length of time. The white lines on the road on the crossing itself, have worn away considerably and ideally need repainting. The beacon on the Trafalgar Road side is partially hidden by a tree in one direction, and when the other tree gets its leaves back, it will be hidden in both directions. Every day cars drive over this crossing, completely oblivious to the fact there is a crossing there, or the fact that there are people waiting to cross, or indeed on the crossing, so improvements are needed, especially as this is at the end of the road leading to a primary school. A lot of schools have patrols/lollipop people at such crossings yet this one doesn’t, despite it being a major road so I think a bit of cleaning and paint on the poles is asking too much when our children’s safety is at risk.
