Large pool of water in the road splashing over 6ft fence and into garden, 2nd January
Hi, this is the third time we have reported this issue recently and nothing has been done. Large pools of water are forming on the carriageway (Colchester bound) when we have heavy rain and it splashes up our fence and over it into the garden - so not only is it damaging our fence but it’s putting dirty road water all over our garden. Just before Christmas Highways came out and cleared some gulleys further up the road but they did not look at this section. Please can this be escalated as we have raised the issue several times now. Thank you

Clunking drain cover every time a vehicle goes over it., 30th December
I have now reported this 4 times over 7 years and it has never been attended to. The noise of vehicles driving over the drain cover is a shocking double bang... almost continuous at peak times. The noise cuts through closed windows and makes opening front windows impossible, waking people who are trying to sleep.

Flooding, 9th December
The rain water and run off is pooling on the side of the road which means that whenever a car or lorry drives through it water is thrown up and over our fence and into our garden. We reporting this in October and nothing has been done but everytime it rains heavily the same thing happens and we are concerned about the safety of such a large puddle as well as the errosion to our fence and the dirty road water being thrown into our property. Please can you come out and look at this.

Uneven surface, 29th November
Pretty much the whole A120 running in and out of Harwich needs resurfacing. It’s uneven, cracked, bumpy. Driving on that road is like being on a rollercoaster. It’s shocking. It’s damaging cars and it’s not safe. There were recently patch ups done and they have already become uneven. More needs to be done to that stretch of road to make it safe for motorists and their vehicles.

Flooding road becoming impassable, 27th November
This road continues to flood in bad weather making it extremely dangerous as cars are having to drive on the wrong side of the road as they go round the bend and it won’t be long before another accident takes place. I believe there might be an issue with a pipe or overflowing pond that’s causing the issue and it will continue throughout the winter until resolved.

Dangerous Junction, 8th October
I'm a Driving Instructor. The turn requires significant braking, often with a HGV behind you. Vehicles to the rear do not slow down and risk is high. One person has already been killed at this junction. I would like to meet with a highway engineer to discuss the issue. I have spoken with councillors and the press but nothing has been done.

Poor visibility when joining from Wix Road, due to over grown vegetation., 16th June
The verge has grown so much and the farmer is growing crops very close to the road. the combination means that the visibility of cars joining the A120 from Wix road is poor for oncoming traffic, you can see skid marks on the road, presumably from cars rapidly breaking when a car joins the main road. In addition, when turning right, from wix road and joining the A120, the visibility is now very poor due to the over grown vegetation.
