Sunken drain cover with pothole around the edges, 9th January
There is a drain cover on the Colchester-bound carriageway, just after the bridge, that has damage to the edges. I'm not sure if the drain has sunk, but there are now defects surrounding the drain cover, that will cause damage to a vehicle sooner or later.

Uneven surface, 30th November
Please could you fix the A120 running in and out of Harwich. There’s various parts throughout that road that need repairing as there are cracks, uneven surfaces and bumps in the road. It’s really not a nice road to have to travel on daily and it’s certainly cost me in repairs to my car. Please can you make it so that the road surface is smooth to drive on. Thank you.

The pipe has been broken and exposed since a team from Highways came to try and clear the flooding at the crossroads. They broke the pipe but did not rectify the issue. There is a clear risk that someone will fall down the hole and break an ankle.

13 road repairs within 50m causing severe shaking of houses, 15th December
Harwich Road, Wix is the only road in and out of Wix for LGV. It is also on the bus services between Harwich & Colchester. There is alot of heavy traffic. The roadway has been dug up and "repaired" by all the utilities - more than once, and has left a "washboard" of a road which causes severe vibrations to 1,2,3 Orchard Place, Eastam Villa & Chaffinches (structural damage). Often find suspension springs damaged on the road in the area.
The vibration is so severe it is impossible to sleep in the houses directly adjacent. The vibrations have been measured as scale 6 on richter scale. Booked with highways numerous times - nothing.

Pavement parking, 2nd February
This car and others regularly park like this. This pavement is on the side of the road where the shop is. As you can see there is quite a steep bank and disabled buggies and people with prams have to stray onto the grass and possibly overturn their Pram or buggy. Also the vehicles park very close to the junction which is totally blind coming from Clacton road. This picture was taken outside the wagon pub in Colchester road. Wix

Wix village Sign now reads as Left TWIX, 4th January
Location of problem: WIX bypass junction leading to WIX. I use this junction very regularly and some joker finds it very amusing to deface this sign to Spell out the word TWIX instead of WIX. I do think the Council keep removing or cleaning the sign, as it disappears for a while then returns again..but whoever the individual is must be sneaking back to deface it again. This time they have the words Left Twix. Kind Regards and Thank you.

Cars speeding in 30mph area, 22nd July
Cars have always speeded past our house entering or exiting the village but just lately we are now getting cars frequently going 50-60mph and even faster on occasions. Given cars pulling out of their drive on a partially blind bend it's only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs

Speeding and obscure road signs, 8th October
I live on Bradfield Road which leads into Wix Road between the villages of Bradfield and Wix. Where I live in particular my drive literally touches the road, no pavements here. This section of road is 40mph which I think should be at least 30mph considering we're only a few feet from this road. Nobody actually drives at 40mph, they hurtle along some in excess of 60mph, as some of the road is national speed limit (why, I don't know). An accident waiting to happen. Our next door neighbours dog recently got hit by a car, how it wasn't killed I don't know. I have a child with visual disabilities and learning difficulties. My heart is in my mouth each time we leave the house, I can say over and over again to keep away from the road but he has trouble understanding and listening. Please, can something be done on this road? Camera signs (even if there aren't any installed) as it will definitely slow people down. There are local areas where the speed limit is 30mph and yet there may not be houses near the road and just country lanes (in Brantham) but yet incredibly it's 30mph for miles. Also midway down Bradfield/Wix road (in the national speed limit zone) there is a give way to oncoming traffic section because the road narrows over a small bridge, the sign telling people to give way is bent over so is not that visible, this is an accident waiting to happen too. Please don't let there be a fatality down this road before somebody listens. I have written to local county councillor Carlo Guglielmi at Write to Them, as advised by Essex County Council but he has failed to even acknowledge my concerns? Can you help please? I would be ever so grateful to just get an acknowledgment that somebody will look into this. Best regards, Wendy Lewis (Resident at Kanchrapara, Wix)
