50 plus overhead lights are out., 20th January
A large section of the carriageway lighting at this major motorway junction is out. This has been the case for over twelve months. This section of the M53 (jnc1 by B&Q) is busy and floods in places during heavy rain, the standing water is a hazard which is compounded after dark when it is invisible to approaching traffic. Both carriageways are effected for approximately a quarter of a mile from where the motorway crosses the junction and towards the Mersey tunnel approach (travelling north). Thanks.
