Multiple Potholes across carriageway, 30th April
There are now a number of large potholes that span the width of the carriageway on the Northbound exit slip road from the A55 towards the A55/A41 hamburger roundabout (Jct 39). Cars are swerving to avoid them but are running into already busy lanes. Issue has been there for at least 6 months but seems to be considerably worse in the last couple of months.

Roadsurface removed, 12th April
Road surface has broken away massively, both sides south of J40 A55, revealing massive pot holes. Dangerous now for motorcycles. Appears to require resurfacing, not just local filling.

Very deep wide and long puddle at westbound kerb., 7th February
Lasts for days after any rain. Traffic soaks pedestrians, I would have to cycle in middle of road to avoid it.

Grid lid is loose on road, 24th January
There is a grid lid loose and everytime a car goes over it rattles.

Re-opening pot hole, 12th December
The pothole around the grid on the main road was repaired by the council, two or three times. The tarmac is now damaged and a new pothole has formed. When cars drive over it, pieces of tarmac flick up onto pedestrians. cyclists and parked cars on the pavement side. The grid is also blocked which floods the road under the pavement when it rains.

Blocked drain on Becketts Lane on corner of Becketts Lane and Kingsley, school side. Issue since May 2023. When rains road floods putting pressure on drain opposite and floods into gardens

The traffic lights haven’t been working on a crossroad, 7th September
I’ve driven passed the vicars cross cross road tonight and last night and both nights the traffic lights were completely black and everyone at the junction was just guessing when to go. This is by some fast roads so the lack of lights could easily cause a collision.

Flooding, 27th August
Deep water as you go under the overpass of the junction. Many cars having to stop fast and reverse on a busy dual carriage way. Seen one car nearly rear ended. A55 at junction to A51 Chester (under overpass)

Vicars Cross Roundabout, Tarvin Road, 30th July
Vicars Cross Roundabout; A55 junction 40 meets Tavin Road A51. The markings all around the roundabout are very washed out and have been for some time. This makes it harder to use the roundabout and there is confusion over whether there is two or three lanes going around the roundabout. I think it is also adding to congestion as yellow boxes have almost vanished.

Traffic light sequencing on off slip faulty, 16th June
The lights on the off slip are only on for 3 to 4 seconds allowing only 4 cars to exit the off slip. This is causing serious tailbacks onto the A55, unnecessarily delaying traffic and could result in a RTA when A55 backs up. I have experienced traffic jams backing up as far as the Hoole turnoff on the A55
