Large potholes that are unavoidable and potentially dangerous/car damaging on the A55 both carriageways, just after joining the carriage way westbound and just before leaving the carriageway eastbound at Chester (bikers cross). Hit one today as couldn’t avoid, thought my car had broken! Luckily not this time but this is a 70mph road and could cause an accident.

Roadsurface removed, 12th April
Road surface has broken away massively, both sides south of J40 A55, revealing massive pot holes. Dangerous now for motorcycles. Appears to require resurfacing, not just local filling.

Lots of potholes on main carriageway by junction 40, 11th March
There are a lot of large potholes on the A55 main carriageway in both directions on the stretches around junction 40. They are difficult/impossible to avoid. They are getting worse every time I drive that way. These could cause damage to vehicles or r cause accidents

The traffic lights haven’t been working on a crossroad, 7th September
I’ve driven passed the vicars cross cross road tonight and last night and both nights the traffic lights were completely black and everyone at the junction was just guessing when to go. This is by some fast roads so the lack of lights could easily cause a collision.

Flooding, 27th August
Deep water as you go under the overpass of the junction. Many cars having to stop fast and reverse on a busy dual carriage way. Seen one car nearly rear ended. A55 at junction to A51 Chester (under overpass)

Traffic lights time, 12th August
Traffic lights on slip road off A55 onto A51 at Littleton are incorrectly timed. They used to be acceptable (just about), but they seem to have been changed and now do not allow enough cars through to (maybe just 2-3cars, while other routes seem to be overly prioritised). At peak (mainly evening) times outside holiday period it causes traffic to back up badly beyond the length of the slip road and becomes an obstruct and a danger to the A55 dual carriageway traffic. The whole roundabout junction would also benefit massively from fresh yellow box road painting and enforcement cameras. On Vicars Cross side of the A55 this is very bad and frequently cars that get green light cannot then move - due to the way being blocked by ignorant road users who move into the yellow hatch area without their exit being clear. This whole junction is very poor, but seems these simple steps would help. …And ironically this junction works better when the traffic lights are not working at all!!

Dead cat on the central reservation, 10th August
There is a dead black and white cat under the flyover on the central reservation north bound side. I noticed it this morning on my way to work.

Vicars Cross Roundabout, Tarvin Road, 30th July
Vicars Cross Roundabout; A55 junction 40 meets Tavin Road A51. The markings all around the roundabout are very washed out and have been for some time. This makes it harder to use the roundabout and there is confusion over whether there is two or three lanes going around the roundabout. I think it is also adding to congestion as yellow boxes have almost vanished.
