Deep hole and cracks, 4th March
There is a deep hole between 2 drains. Spans about 2m and has sunk and cracked. It’s in the footpath but in a lowered curb so is driven over daily. This looks very dangerous and concerned for the safety of our vehicles and pedestrians too.

More than 8cm deep, 4th January
This problem has been ongoing for many years. Quick fixes do not work. When it rains the houses get soaked with the water plus loose stone are thrown onto the pathway causing people to slip.

Uneven reinstatement causing trip hazard, 27th June
Since laying fibre cables in the area, the area of grass outside 76 and 78 Mell Road has been reinstated unevenly causing a trip hazard. The tarmac path outside 76 Mell Road was already cracked and has parts missing which also poses a trip hazard

2 large potholes have opened up leaving exposed iron works. With cars always being parked on the opposite side of the road, all traffic travelling in or out of the village is forced to go over this broken and dangerous road surface

Severely deteriorating and potentially dangerous footpath areas, 9th January
The footpath fronting the car access to 65 North Road is depressed, particularly at kerb side. As a result, the road is higher where it joins to the footpath resulting in a dip. This is causing a jolt to any car's back axle/frame, especially if the vehicle has rear passengers and/or a boot load. Any subsequent damage to person or vehicle will have to be recovered from the Council. Additionally, the footpath generally is deteriorating, particularly severely outside 63 North Road. This is a dangerous situation to anyone, but particularly to the elderly in dark or winter conditions. These conditions have been evident for some time, despite visits by Essex Council operatives delivering other local services. Certainly the situation will not improve without immediate action and hopefully this will address the full footpath area, not a piecemeal approach!

Large pothole 10foot long, 8th April
This has been an ongoing issue where the council did a suspect fix a few months ago. It now has become worse as a result and is causing worrying vibrations that shack my and at least another 3 properties though out. This should be treated as high risk issue as there is a good chance it will cause irreversible damage to our properties.

Holly bush obstructing path, 6th October
A large holly bush has overgrown the path right next to the school. This weekend I suffered a scratch to my eye. This urgently needs cutting back before a child suffers a similar injury - eye injuries can very easily be life changing.

Strong sewer smell, 7th June
