The pothole is large and right on the bend and has been there for several months and difficult to avoid if heading towards cottages on the left ALSO There’s a branch sticking out of the hedge at the same place on the left as you head towards Maldon I scratched my car twice as I didn’t see it!! You have to place your car sharply to get around the corner and any oncoming traffic avoiding the pothole makes it impossible to avoid the branch!!

Very large and deep holes, 2nd April
The whole length of Lea lane is covered in DEEP pot holes which makes an already narrow road harder to navigate, it will cause not only accidents now but huge damage to cars. The potholes need to be filled immediately and I can not believe they have been left to get to this ridiculous state.!

Large Pothole, A12 North, Witham Bypass, 18th February
Large pothole on off side of lane 1, along centre line. I was driving in lane 2 on 17/02/2024 at 10:30am and a clearly visible large pothole exists in this location. I passed this spot on 28/12/2023 at 12:30pm and struck a pothole in this area that damaged my vehicle. The reference for this report was FixMyStreet ref: 5362496.

Uprooted trees and bushes partiallh blocking Goat Lodge Road, 15th January
These were blown into the road during the recent storms. Local residents have made the road passable but 30% of the road is still blocked. Represents a hazard at night.

Looks like very deep square pothole and cauising tyre bursts now but is on the very inside of the corner, only comes into play when oncoming vehicles are present at the same point.

Crossing Road Marking, 15th May
I have reported this before about the crossing in Great Totham (Main Road near corner shop) is used a lot and is a busy crossing families, children and the elderly and the markings on the road and poles for this crossing point are none existence. I have seen 3 near misses of cars speeding and drivers not being able to see that crossing and those wanting to cross. My wife has nearly been hit twice. The lamp was replace a while back when I reported it along with the state of the crossing road and pole markings. If not sorted somebody will soon be injured or killed at this crossing

There is a black cat with white markings dead on the inside carriage way on the a12 through witham. The cat is likely someone’s pet, and is hard to retrieve as it is in the middle on the highway.

15 Foster Road. Hedge is causing issues with seeing traffic entering the corner. Hedge is not supposed to be allowed on front garden due to covenant. Front gardens on the corner are supposed to be open with no planting.

Huge pot hole just after station road towards maldon, 13th January
The road is narrow and if a car is coming the opposite way you’re forced into the pot hole and damaging your car. This pothole has been here at least 2 months and I know other people who have also had damage from this hole

Long grass and weeds obscuring view., 8th August
Hi, approaching Blue Mills Bridge from Blue Mills Hill the view of oncoming traffic is obscured by long grass and weeds. This could cause an accident. I witnessed a near accident and altercation when one motorist thought it safe to proceed when it wasn’t. This is an annual problem perhaps it could be put in the diary when it’s solved.
