Potholes, 12th March
There are multiple severe Potholes on this route and consequently has caused damage to my tyres on two occasions in 3 weeks. The roads are narrow at points and therefore you have to drive as appropriately as you can within the given space, which means pulling more left to the side to allow both vehicles to pass.
Severe weather conditions are adding to the already bad roads and when filled with water it is not also easy to see how deep they are. Heavy and wide Lorrie’s and tractors also use this road and on numerous occasions it has caused a standstill to the traffic.
Please can this be reviewed for the safety and expense to all parties.

2 x large potholes either side of single track road making passing almost impossible, 21st February
Series of potholes on either side of the road that have been getting worse over several months, and now they have got to a size where you can't avoid them. The road will soon be impassable even in a 4x4.

Large pot hole approx 20inches. Dunmow Road near repeater 30mph sign, 25th January
Pot hole would fit a whole car tyre. The edge of the road has broken up and the hole is spreading onto the carriageway. When full of water you wouldn't know it was there. Has been like this for approx 1`month.

1 metre long pothole, breaching white line at side of the road, approx 7 inches in depth., 18th February
We have more photos and the damage invoice to email. This road links Thaxted to Little Sampford in Essex. Our car was only a few days old, recently collected from the garage, hence expensive new tyres without any wear, one had to be replaced, with a new tyre, plus the alloy wheel luckily could be repaired, as it was mis shapen due to the impact of the pothole. We had to pay for the garage to come out and assist us. Total invoice £331.00 plus a days work because the car was off the road. I have reported it verbally to Uttlesford the day after the reference is 2604768 Pamela was the clerk who took the details.
