FIXMYSTREET IN CM7 4QJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CM7 4QJ:
Infringment, 22nd February
A new development is being built here. Where they have put their new road in, their new kerbs have been dug out into the existing road. This is causing a noticeable pinch point, forcing traffic heading into the village to cross into the opposite lane. I have had quite a few near misses because of this

Tree fallen into our garden from footpath, 21st February
We live adjacent to the footpath to the rear entrance to the School in Wethersfield. On Friday the wind brought down a tree standing by the footpath which has fallen into our garden across a Shed and left its lower end projecting partially across the footpath, thereby constituting a danger to pedestrians. We are told by the Parish Council that this is your concern and we stress that it must be removed very carefully to ensure that no future damage is occasioned to our Shed.

Road not finsihed, 17th July
This road was due to be resurfaced, the old tarmac was lifted. New tarmac never laid. For weeks it had signs saying loose surface and the road was slippery because of this.
It is now just the old concrete underneath which hasn't got much grip. It seems to be just left for cars to embed the loose chippings into the road.
Now the signs have been removed and the road is meant to be safe. Doesn't feel safe, especially on a motorcycle/bicycle with not as good traction as a car.
Considering Finchingfield has very heavy motorcycle/bicycle traffic this isn't safe at all.

Obstructed pavement, 13th March
Frequent total blocking of pavement outside Cage House by tradesmen vehicles. What does the law say about this? Partial pavement parking is tolerated to aid visibility and traffic flow but no pedestrian should be forced to step into the road, surely? Nothing to do with occupants of Cage House by the way!

Pothole, 26th July
Coming down this street at around 11:45pm as part of the Dunwich Dynamo I hit a pothole which caused one of my lights to break from my bike, shatter upon hitting the road then get run over several times. The nice villagers were out in force, obviously aware of it and tried to warn people but I didn't manage to avoid this particular one (in 112 miles) in time.
