30mph sign broken, 10th February
The only 30mph sign entering the village of Fyfield has broken and lying on the grass verge. It is located just before Moreton Rd on left hand side whilst travelling north from Ongar.

Large sink hole approx 50mtr before Morton sign on the Morton Road, 22nd January
The road is sinking and at the moment covers an area of 1.5mtr by 3mtr and over 150mm below the road level. To avoid the subsidence you have to move to the centre of the road to avoid it which you cannot do if there is oncoming traffic.

White lines have gone - causing collisions, 12th November
The road from Ongar to Fyfield has no white lines in many places and there are no cats eyes at all. Cars are regularly on the wrong side of the road on the bends and i have recently lost a door mirror to a vehicle that was straying across the road on the bends outside fyfield village shop. It is also particularly bad on the bends between ongar high school and the mini roundabout. The lines have faded over to the point that they are no longer there at all in places

Potholes near Shelly Church Ongar Road CM5 0HH, 26th February
These potholes have been here for quite some time and I managed to avoid the largest until last Sunday when I punctured my front left hand side tire at a cost of £245 to replace. Large electricity supply cabinet has “inspection” door broken and on the ground. Exposing large cables. I put the door back but it needs fixing as both hinges have snapped.

Mud and manure all over road from Pennyfeathers Cottages to the Ongar Road, 3rd December
Fields have been fertilised and tractors and trailers have dragged heavy deposits of mud and fertilizer (human sewage?) onto a long section of the road.

Road marking between Walker Avenue and Huchin Drive, 20th September
The give way road marking have all but disappeared making it very dangerous at the junction. This is a busy junction used by parents dropping off children to nursery and also nearby school and also people going to the village hall. Its been reported by several residents and will eventually be the scene of an accident.

Unorthorised Travellers, 5th July
There are unauthorised travellers on the public playing fields at the back of my property at Walker Avenue, Fyfield. They turned up Monday 2/7/18 at 22.00. There are 12 caravans and numerous vehicles. They are using public footpaths, including paths which are next to the village school as toilets. Surely this is not acceptable! They all have dogs which are constantly barking. I am afraid to let my cats out because of their dogs which at times roam around loose. At night they play loud music and drive their vehicles around the field. The lights of these vehicles shine through our bedroom window and are disturbing our sleep. We feel we are in lock down because of these people. The village hall which is on the site has had to cancel all events which in turn looses revenue.This is causing me, my family and the whole village much distress.
