Footpath is not accessible from Rectory Lane, 5th August
Walking north along Rectory Lane, PROW 31 leading through Mark’s Farm is inaccessible. The farm has locked gates and the hedge line has a wired fence. I am not local to Rettendon and did not have time to try the route backwards, but there was 18 people looking for a footpath entrance. It appears the farm has removed entry. If it has been rerouted to connect to prow 18, there is no signage.

50 limit on A130 not enforced, areas coned off where no work taking place., 2nd March
On Sunday there was another accident on the A130 in the 50 mph speed limit road works area. Accidents are being caused because the speed limit is not enforced. 50% of drivers are staying within the limit, 30% go to about 70 and 10% vastly over 70, many doing 85/90. This speed differential is enormous and is very dangerous, particularly when a driver adhering to the limit needs to overtake. Lives will soon be lost if this is not addressed. The road immediately needs average speed cameras to be brought in and the speed limit to be rigorously enforced. Additionally there needs to be more consideration given to working in a smaller area of the road - not treating the whole route in both directions as the road works.
