Fast and noisy motor bikes and cars, 30th June

Tue, 30 Jun 2020 12:03:51 +0100
51.699319 0.619866

Motor bikes and cars are driving too fast along this stretch of Hackmans Lane and Marlpits Road especially at weekends. It has been worse since lockdown. Why is there a 60 mph speed limit from Cock Clarks down to Burnham Road (B1010) when the stretch of road is only about a mile with the cross roads at Goat House Lane and then a blind bend? Surely it should only be 40 mph? One crash at the crossroads last year resulted in a car turning over. Someone will eventually die.

Speeding bikes and cars A414, 21st June

Sun, 21 Jun 2020 10:09:27 +0100
51.692802 0.623064

A414 from Morrisons roundabout, up Spital Rd then down/up bypass. Really quiet during lockdown then when released we go back to speeding noisy vehicles, mainly motorbikes accelerating excessively. Mainly weekends when weather nice. No sign of police at all. A speed camera both ways would stop this before someone is killed.

51.691276 0.622326

The crash barriers/fencing either side of the road here have been driven into again! one side of the road has been totally destroyed! Might be worth moving the speed limit back to before the sharp bend, although that won't stop people!

Flooding, 16th November

Sun, 16 Nov 2014 19:38:35 +0000
51.6960311243459 0.598143455711352

The ditches on either side of the road have been full since last winter. When we have rain they over flow into the road cause severe flooding. Last year causing 2 accidents whilst the road was completely iced over. Both ditches have been dug out, but the problem lies underneath the road. The ECC highways, and the chief ex, have been told on several occasions, but nothing is still not done. Are they waiting until we have a fatal accident, the road is just on a bend. When walking you can't see where the ditch is, someone could fall down there and drown. I am so frustrated as I have been trying since last winter to get this resolved but they are just not interested.
