Blocked culvert - still, 18th January
It's now 6 years since I filled a report to unblock the culvert under the road on the essex council website which is going to be fixed as part of 'planned maintenance'. I take it by planned they mean never. It's currently a massive load of ice on a blind bend. The essex council map no longer allows anything to be reported, I guess that means the roads have fewer faults to repair

Flooding of highway, 10th April
In the 6 years we have lived in the Street we have not had continuous water running down the hill however water has appeared at the spot on the map and has been reported to Anglian water. They say they have inspected it and it is ground water. Speaking with our neighbours every one is of the opinion it is a mains water leak. It is eroding the bank on the field side of the road as there is no kerb causing mud and mess and eventually will erode the road surface which was relaid about a year ago. if nothing is done it will render a dangerous road surface especially if it freezes over. The side of the road and a large area at the bottom of the hill is now continually wet and under water with water continually flowing. The neighbours i have spoken to who have been here longer than us have not seen this before and we are convinced its a water leak. There is some building work at No 1 the Cottages and it is mainly coming from the road outside this and up through 2 inspection cover near the Bell public house.

Overgrown hedgerows/bushes, 28th July
When driving up Hagg Lane the bushes and brambles are now that over grown that they clip my car on either side. I have also cycled up the lane and due to the large volume of gravel and stones in the centre of the lane means I have to stay on the edge and there are a considerable amount of stinging nettles either side. The gravel is very dangerous as it makes the road extremely slippy.
