Road surface full of potholes, 3rd March
Just as you're sitting waiting to enter the roundabout, the road surface is breaking up and is full of potholes. It is a very busy junction and cars are sitting in the righthand lane to turn left because the road surface is damaged. This results in more traffic jams as the traffic doesn't flow.

Blocked sewerage (rainwater) pipe below the car park, 13th February
The sewerage (surface water) pipe running beneath the car park on the corner of East Hanningfield Road and Southend Road (the old A130) is blocked and the rear gardens of numbers 1 and 3 East Hanningfield Road are flooded. The blockage is close to the "Ps" marked on the attached map, adjacent to the large oak trees in the front garden of The Oaks, Southend Road. and it can be accessed from a manhole in the grass verge outside that property. The blockage was partly cleared once before when the previous owner of The Oaks managed to open the manhole cover and rod the drain, but it needs to be cleared properly by the relevant authority using professional equipment.

Lights out of sequence, 2nd January
Over the last week the traffic lights have been out of sequence. Southbound slip off A12 on to the roundabout for a130. A big delay on red, which is causing some drivers to go on a red light.

Drain blocked on road sign sid, 1st January
Water cannot enter drain so flowing across road to ditch on other side which is now overflowing.Danger to cyclists, horse riders, pedestrians and cars. Flooded like this for three/four weeks.

This 30 mph sign is on an angle and can’t be seen at night at all and not much during the day, 20th November
This 30mph sign is wonky and cannot be seen when you approach it. This has resulted in a significant increase of cars travelling down east hanning Road. This has resulted in one of our cats being run over and killed. Could you clear the dead wood around the sign and make it straight again please Thank you Andrew Chesterton 07770 721244

Hedgerow is over-hanging path, and creeping onto path, 30th August
The hedgerow is very overgrown and the thorns catch you face if you are not very careful. You have to walk very near to the busy road to avoid the growth. Also the growth is growing onto the path and becoming a trip hazard. I have cut it back once as best I can but it's too much for me to cope with now.

Side of the road corroded, 22nd August
The side of the road has corroded away, this has been like it for over a year, it has got worse this year. I live opposite and hear loads of lorries/cars go off the edge and cause damage, especially as it gets darker you can't see the edge of the road the white lines have gone.
