This S-bend where indicated on the map is frequently liable to flooding and when travelling from either direction, there are no road signs warning of the bends or the possibility of flooding. After the exit to Harlow on the way from Bishops Stortford to Harlow there is a pothole on the slowest lane that made severe damage to my front wheel. I had to call the tow truck yesterday night.

Closure of m11 at junction 7a unsafe, 29th April
Adequate sign posting for lanes 2 and 3 closure from 800 yards. No warning of lane one closure until traffic is funnelled onto slip road suddenly. Watched a couple of vehicles in front of me clearly confused and forced to drive over hatched markings because of this. Just for information for learning.

Large Pothole in Lane 1 (left lane) between the underpass for A1025 Exit southbound towards Harlow/London, 15th March
On Tuesday 14 March at 00:48 am, while driving southbound on the M11 at Junction 7A, my vehicle hit a large and deep pothole located in lane 1 (left lane), where the usual wheel tracks go. As a result, the left rim of my alloy wheel was damaged and my tyre bulged, making it unsafe to drive.
The pothole poses a significant and serious danger to road users. It was not clearly visible at night, and I was unable to avoid it. I also noticed another vehicle that had broken down nearby at the same time, likely due to the same pothole.
The pothole seems to have been there a while following a review of other similar reports dating back to last quarter of 2022.

Road collapsed along verge., 6th February
This area is particularly dangerous, where the road and verge meet. The damage has resulted in a deep and long section of the road which would affect all road users if unaware of the hazard, particularly at night. I’m surprised it’s not already been reported.

Very deep and wide pothole., 3rd November
This pothole is hidden on the exit of a left hand bend. It protrudes into the carriageway a long way and is very deep. Please add this to the list when the one I already reported on the next bend is repaired. If I remember correctly, in this close vicinity there is a further pothole on the opposite side of the road.

Exceptionally large and dangerous pothole., 3rd November
This is a monster pothole on a bend and I find it impossible to understand why this has not been repaired, particularly as there is evidence of pothole repairs at High Laver Grange and Matching Green and it’s highly likely the workforce must have driven past this and several more. An accident waiting to happen.
