Footpath from Stanthwaite to Longlands is blocked as stile has barbed wire on both sides of it, no signage saying path closed and no signed diversion, we check both up and down along the field boundary but no alternate route provided.

Road hazard, 12th July
On the south side of the road about, 1 mile out of Uldale, on the road to Caldbeck there is a sign in the road over a partially filled in pothole that has been there many months. The situation is distinctly hazardous. The sign appears to be serving little if any purpose and is in need of removal, from what is a narrow road. If the hole needs additional treatment, it would be appreciated if this was carried out promptly.
