There are a number of potholes on the A7 in Longtown. There are two that affect us as when trucks hit them, our house shakes and rattles.
We have reported them a number of times. At best, they get a bag of repair stuff in and it lasts a few days.
There is a huge amount of HGV traffic that uses the road. The problem is the road surface. I am not complaining about the HGV’s.
I have reported it to Cumberland council, they just say it isn’t an issue.
Between 37/39 English Street and one outside 35 English Street.

From school entrance to Moor Crescent there are 2 large potholes and the road is disintigrating, 6th January
From the school entrance to Moor Crescent there are 2 large potholes where the stones underneath the tarmac are all over the place due to all types of travel going through them, speed bumps have been patched in the past and they're in bits and other parts of the road are disintegrating.

Loads of bad potholes and chunks of Tarmac all over the road - popped my tyre and almost crashed, 17th January
These pot holes have been here for a while due to lorries tearing up the road from the haulage site on Netherby Road just after Longtown. There are large chunks of tarmac on the road - one of which I hit and it completely ruined my tyre and I almost crashed

Blocked drain / flooding, 12th October
Every time there is heavy rain the road floods (due to a blocked drain) at the corner on the bridge. The water extends onto the bridge itself so cant be doing it any good.
