Road been getting worse over a number if years. Not been properly repaired for years. Making walking, running and driving unsafe.

Pothole size of a dustbin lid & approx 4-5" deep in the dip in the road, 4th March
Also, hole appearing on other side of the road which leads to water course below. Appears there's nothing to support the road underneath anymore. These have been here since last autumn.

Potholes and flooding, 11th March
Regular issue with surface water at this location by the old lonning. The water then freezes and creates a skid hazard (causing accidents on the sharp bend). Potholes are also forming.

Four rubbish bags dumped on the verge at N 54 51 0 W -2 55 44. One has been ripped open (fox?) spewing smelly contents out.

Large potholes on inside of dangerous bend outside High Burnthwaite Cottages., 19th December
This is a dangerous bend at any time. Cars travelling towards Carlisle have to keep close into edge of bend to avoid oncoming cars on outside of bend. Enlarging potholes on innerside are now causing vehicles to move over to avoid falling into potholes and there is imminent risk of a head-on collision. If they fall into the potholes to avoid a wide vehicle, council may find itself liable to a claim for compensation.

Dangerous pothole just after bend, 19th September
This pothole is growing bigger and is dangerous. Situated just after bend so that difficult to avoid. Often full of water making it hard to see. Someone is going to damage their car or motorbike on it. Been there a while too.

Long stretch of potholes, 4th September
The road between Buckabank and Raughton has long stretches of deep potholes - mainly along the south/west side of the road. They have been bad for over a year, but are now deteriorating rapidly forcing cars to veer onto wrong side of road to avoid. Many blind bends make avoiding potholes almost impossible. Very dangerous and bordering on suicidal for cyclists.
There has been a 'temporary road surface' sign in place for over a year - the holes are getting worse.
