Flooding when it rains, 12th April
This is a newly laid section of road, we were told it would sort the drainage issues, but whenever there is moderate/heavy rain it floods, I believe worse than before the drainage works.

Traffic lights timings, 23rd February
The traffic lights aren’t changing soon enough - over the past few weeks traffic has become backed up until the roundabout on hensingham square. Traffic is between 20-30 cars long at any one time. My journey time to work is normally around 6 minutes but due to these traffic lights it’s taking 10-12 minutes. As I am waiting there for around 3 minutes for the lights to change.
Report on FixMyStreet
Traffic lights program is too slow from B5295 leading onto A595 (hensingham bypass), 21st February
The traffic lights appear to be prioritising the A595 traffic over B5295, even when no vehicles are present on the A595.
This is leading to tailbacks going significantly far up the B5295.
When lights do change over (to allow traffic from B5295 to join the A595), the green light is only on for long enough for 5 vehicles at most to pass through.
This can be further exacerbated by the next traffic lights where Inkerman Terrace joins the A595, as traffic backs fully up and even into the junction (which for some reason isn't a box junction).

Traffic light pattern malfunction, 4th February
Traffic light sequence between A595 and B5295 appears to have changed and waits coming from B5295 to join A595 are now unreasonably long. Traffic is not being given green light even when there are large gaps in traffic travelling along A595. This started a few weeks ago, prior to which there were no unreasonable delays.

Mulched leaves, mossey areas making path/road slippy, 29th January
Good evening,
Having first contacted Cumberland Council Parks & Open spaces, they've informed me it's yourselves I need to raise this with.
Old Hensingham Road Whitehaven CA28 8PR (the now culdesac at the top of Inkerman Terrace), has quite lot of thick moss and old mulched leaf fall making it very slippy under foot and blocking drainage which could do with some tending to if at all possible please, to make it safer for pedestrians.
Also, a few trees from a plantation are overgrown and when in leaf will once again obscuring part of the pavements, which would benefit from some trimming and thinning.
Many thanks
