Solid white line replaced with short dashed lines, 20th June
I am surprised you have 'fixed' the worn out solid line by short dashed lines. I assume dashes were originally replaced by a solid white line some time ago, to prevent overtaking, as a safety precaution.
I think this may cause serious accidents.

Solid white line worn out, 7th February
The solid white line stopping westbound traffic overtaking is worn out so looks like a dashed line. This could cause serious problems as this is a 3 lane section with 2 lanes for eastbound. I reported this months ago to Cumbria Council but they now tell me its your responsibility.

I'm writing about the road not being safe from overtaking., 19th December
On the A66 from the Keswick roundabout to Penrith - before reaching the bridge immediately after the roundabout there is a dual carriageway and a single carriageway on the opposite side. On two occasions I have seen a car crossing over from the single carriageway to the dual carriageway (facing on coming cars at 60MPH ) with them being on the wrong side of the road, as we overtake. This time it was a very close call making a dangerous move involving a number of cars swerving to avoid it. Please could I report this to the right department, I would like to see a more physical barrier in place to stop this dangerous driving. Many thanks,
