Potholes Junction 38 sliproad southbound, 22nd February
There have been potholes here for many months, which were avoidable by using the other lane. However, the other lane is now coned off, and there is no choice now but to drive over them. Considering the weight of traffic at this point I would have thought that this sliproad would have been prioritised well before now.

Severe potholes on J38 slip road, 13th February
Urgent: The southbound slip road upon entry to the M6 from Junction 38 has major potholes and surface problems arising from continued roadworks in the area; it is now extremely hazardous for all road users - particularly motorcyclists. Repairs are necessary and urgently.

Pothole along the slip road access to M6 Southbound from A685, 4th February
There are roadworks on the sliproad leading to the M6 Southbound off the A685. Driving along the slipway I experienced an incredibly heavy thump which resulted in loss of all pressure to my front near side tyre. On removing the tyre to replace, the allow wheel was found ro be cracked. I assess I hit a pothole. As it was dark, on a sliproad and I was dealing with warning messages in my car, I deemed it unsafe and unwise to stop to investigate. However, I was travelling at a low speed and have very good lights so I would have seen any obstruction in the road

Slumped tarmac causing pothole effect, 17th August
I’m not sure exactly where on this stretch of road but somewhere between Tebay and Keele services slumped tarmac creates an effective pot hole, it is slumped up towards oncoming traffic and where it has moved from creates a dip behind the slump. As you approach you can’t see this until it is too late to either slow down or change lanes. I went over this as 60/70mph and it broke my exhaust pipe (and possibly caused further damage yet to come to light) a few metres further on there is another of these slumps on the inside lane. These are a real hazard for anyone in a small car (I have a Toyota Yaris hybrid) or on a motorbike. I’m surprised more urgent action hasn’t been taken to fix this!

North bound m6 before j38 windsock missing . This windsock was destroyed other 2 months ago by gales. Given the danger to high sided vehicles/caravans etc by the lack of a visual aid, why has it not been replaced?.

Many bottle of urine and general litter, 7th March
Reported as a health hazard to Eden District Council by very concerned member of public due to the quantity of urine bottles. All along slip road from M6 down towards the mini roundabout for Tebay/services.Officer attended and confirmed significant quantity. Spoke to Tebay services who said it needs to be reported to yourselves as responsible for this land.

There is a strip of damaged carriage way in the middle lane roughly 10” wide 8-10’ long may 4-5” deep. I hit my the whole on the near side and it threw the car 3-4’ to the right this whole will Worsen with time and could lead to a serious accident. Thank you!
