Cathays has now become a ghetto, 14th May
For many years i have complained to cardiff council about the state of the streets in cathays. The guilty parties are 1. cardiff council themselves as they are completely useless and of coarse greedy. 2. irresponsible and dirty, filthy landords who dont give two toots about neighbours and the streets but they get away with murder as cardiff council seem to have a two tier policy system. They have come down on myself as a landlord where i probably have the best properties in the area but a certain group of landlords get away with it. Their tenants leave a mess outside the properties as well as inside their own walls, never cleaned up, never actioned and of coarse th e rats come looking for new nests to breed. Thankyou cardiff council for being utter shite.

Potholes galore needs retarmacking, 13th May
Serious injuries of residents using this lane to wall or get vehicles out of their garage is going to occur. None can park out the front due to yellow lines. So lane is only alternative. Most residents are elderly. The whole lane needs retarmacking. Patched up loads of times and the problem keeps recurring.

Light Pollution, 3rd May
I would suggest and ask that the huge neon billboards be turned OFF at night .. eg midnight to 7am. They are very bright, and flash all night on my bedroom ceiling (and presumably through others’ windows too). I would imagine there is a substantial amount of electricity wasted running these advertising boards when probably no-one is looking at them. Same is prob true for other neon boards in the city.
