Always parking blocking the road., 23rd October
This photo shows the least worst case scenario today. This no through road is constantly blocked by cars making it impossible sometimes to access driveways further up. The parking also forces pedestrians including many schoolchildren into the road. The parking needs to be double yellow and unforced before somebody gets injured or blocks an emergency services vehicle. This has gone on for too long now with no action taken despite some consultation. I shall not drop this matter. There is no parking here.

Litter all along the A299 between Brenley Corner and Herne, 23rd January
The amount of litter along the boundary of A299 (Thanet bound), including large sacks and dumped items is extremely distressing to see and appears to have increased over the last few months. There are several tyres along this stretch of road also which are hazardous. There seems to be no effective plan for a clean up of the area, which is very disappointing and concerning in terms of damage to the local environment. It is incredibly frustrating that there does not seem to be accountability of this between highways England and local councils. It is embarrassing for those passing through the county to see the roads in this state, but also it poses health hazards to the local population and endangered wildlife. There will sadly always be those who disrespect the environment, but my concern is how maintenance of these roads are not efficient or effective in cleaning up the area. With the amount of proposed house building and inevitable cars this will generate, this issue is likely to get worse, unless a plan to frequently clear the area is actioned.
