Bottom of Short Lane Alkham culvert under road, 30th January
On inspection it appears one of the ditch culverts under the roadway is blocked. The Nailbourne is fast flowing along the village ditch. If the culvert is blocked it will cause local flooding to Lane and adjacent houses.

Numerous potholes and break down of road surface., 3rd June
Since the rain in Jan 2016 various potholes and general condition of the road surface has suffered due to continued rain and flooding of this Lane. There are now numerous potholes and the exposure of flints both on the rod surface and at the edges which are a danger to Horses, walkers and vehicles using the Lane.

Large pot holes on Slip Lane just before Greenwood Manor which will only get worse as the winter deepens. A lot of horse riders use this Lane as vehicles which are likely to get damaged.

Faulty street light, 24th September
This street light is located in a 30mph area just prior to a sharp and steep bend leading down into Alkham village - it switches on and off randomly which is a potential danger to drivers of vehicles along this stretch particularly if the area is unknown to the driver. This is a very short section of the road to be lit at night due,it would appear, to the danger of the bend.
