Excess water on road with no pavement, 11th December
Water is pouring out of a drain cover here. It does so every time we have heavy rain. The road to the west has water running down it because the heavy traffic from construction work has collapsed the ditches. This water continues to flow down the road and then joins the water coming out of the drain cover and flows east past the pub and into the new drain holes. There is no pavement so pedestrians and cyclists have to go into the middle of the road. Traffic to and from the doctor's surgery adds to the normal flow of traffic expected for an area of housing so this is a busy junction and can be dangerous at times especially in the dark or when drivers are speeding.

The ditch that carries water down the side of the public footpath (from next to GP Surgery) goes underground at this point. The underground pipe is blocked and the water pours out onto the road and runs down to and across the Nunnery Green junction with this road. This will be the 3rd Winter this has happened. Last year the running water froze and cars could not get to the GP surgery or to the houses and a local farmer had to come and scrape the thick ice away.
