Fast growing weed (tree) at risk of damage to wall & fence at Grosvenor yard car park, 6th May
The weed (tree) is growing next to the wall / fence that the council recently restored. Unfortunately the contractors tgat undertook the work to build the wall and install fence on top of the wall didn’t remove the tree (weed) that would have been a small sapling at the time that the work was undertaken recently. If the tree (weed) is not carefully removed soon, the tree will damage the wall and fence to the council’s wall, and the boarding fence that forms the cartilage to Abernant drive.
Outcome required | the council should arrange the tree (weed) to be carefully removed (roots included) asap to ensure that there is no damage to the wall & fence.
I look forward to receiving an update from you soon.

Shingle / stones displaced from plant beds!, 6th May
West Suffolk Council installed two plant beds in Grosvenor car park. However, the council, sic, did not plant appropriate plants to grow, so weeds grew in the plant beds! After escalating this problem and asking the council, sic, to remove the weeds and plant appropriate perennial plants, the council, sic, removed the weeds and installed stone pebbles! As you can see from the photo, vehicles are driving over the plant beds which is causing the pebbles to be displaced and dispersed across the tarmac road surface. This is a problem! 1. Moving vehicles - or pedestrians - may cause stone pebbles to be projected onto parked vehicles causing damage such as broken windows or chipped paint on bodywork! (This is a financial risk to the taxpayer!). 2. The council, sic, is not supporting environmental greening by its decision to remove the plants! Plants capture CO2; and plants prevent air heating (concrete, tarmac & stone surfaces reflect the sun’s energy to heat the air); the council should support the growing of maximum amount of plants to capture CO2; cheaper than solar panels!).
Outcome required. I kindly request that the council, sic, kindly removes the stone pebbles and replaces them with appropriate perennial plants.
I look forward to receiving your reply asap.
