Deep hole apx 12 round, 2nd January

Shredded litter... AGAIN!, 18th August
Highways England you seriously are shambolic. You've again cut back the vegetation in the Lay-bys on the A11 when approaching the Newmarket bypass and of course not litter picked beforehand, shredding all the litter everywhere, and creating such a mess. Yet another example of your clear disregard for the environment, constant failure of the Environmental Protection Act, and your own ridiculous litter strategy. Is your aim to create as much mess as possible on the road network? Are you going to clear up all the mess you've created or leave it for councils to clear up after you?

Fly tipping and large quantity of rubbish in layby, 21st January
This layby condition, as well as all of the others on the A11, has been getting worse for several months. There is not only huge amounts of litter present, but also large fly tipped items. For this particular layby i have included a photograph of a sofa that has been dumped. The next layby further South also has a sofa left in amongst the trees, as well as other items of general rubbish and debris. I have detailed some of my observations below; A11 NB layby at marker post 73/0 -tractor tyre and other rubbish. A11 SB layby at marker post 88/7 - fridge and various of items and lots of rubbish. A11 SB layby at marker post 87/5 - sofa and lots of rubbish (sofa photograph attached). A11 SB layby at marker post 86/5 - sofa and lots of rubbish. A11 SB layby at marker post 72/3 - mattress and general litter. Please clean up all of the layby's on the A11, not just the ones i have listed, as it seems to encourage more people to discard more items and rubbish by leaving them to fall into the state they're now in.

The EAST side of the A11 for many miles has serious litter. This happens very often on this stretch of the A11 through Suffolk. Lots of spent tyres.
