Blocked Stream/Potential Road Flooding, 5th December
The stream that runs under the footbridge has been blocked by a downed tree, this has progressively resulted in the stream becoming dammed, backing the water up at the road bridge crossing on the junction of School Lane & Water Lane where the road has come close to flooding during heavy rains.

Illegally Parking on Zigzag Lines outside school, 30th November
This van driver not only parked on a set zigzag lines dangerously near a set of pedestrian lights opposite a school, he also parked so far over on the pavement people had to walk around his van in the road. The lack of traffic police officers in the Newport & Saffron Walden area is allowing this to become very common place. We have already had a number of pedestrian accidents, needs stamping out before there's a fatality.

Illegal Parking outside the Nisa Shop, 29th November
Not only did they block the Nisa carpark access they also parked across zigzag lines thus blocking drivers sight of the pedestrian crossing. There seems to be a lot of normally vans parking there and it is at significate risk of causing. I thought it was illegal to park on these zigzag lines, something need to be done about this.

Hog weed, 12th July
I'm not sure where to report this to but was directed here from the council website.
This hogweed has appeared over the last few weeks and is getting bigger and flowering. It's currently 7-8ft tall.
It's about 3 metres from gardens, all occupied by children.
There was a large case of hogweed on council land further upstream (as we are on a river bank) which was burned and dealt with in the last couple of years.
I'm not sure if this is giant hogweed. But it's pretty big..and if it is it will only cause big problems for the land and children's health.
It's technically on the Shortgrove estates land, behind granta Mead Close, Newport.

Poor road surface, 20th April
Between marker B55.2 and B55.7 M11 South Bound the road surface is terrible. You have managed to resurface the majority of the North and South Bound carriageway in this area recently but left the worst part unrepaired

Damaged road sign on the corner of the authorised access only junction off Wicken Road, CB11 3UE, 11th April
Went to visit the bridge on Wicken Road on 11/04/2022, noticed when walking down Wicken Road that a sign that notes authorised access only has been damaged. Not sure how long this has been like this but wasnt there on the last visit to the bridge a few months ago. The metal post holding the sign is completely knocked over and is bent. The wiring for the light at the top of the sign is also exposed and has been damaged with the signpost.

Pothole and drain cover extremely noisy and getting worse, 9th December
